I couldn't believe this-
That idiot's docufakery "Bowling For Columbine" is going on sale soon.
And guess what's included in the extra DVD features?
**A TEACHER'S GUIDE**:cuss:
Yep, that's right, soon all the schoolkids will be learning that guns are evil and if only no one had guns there'd be no violence.
This is highly disturbing given that there are serious doubts about Moore's truthfulness (he even admitted to creative editing).
How in the h*** is this being allowed in the schools? *sarcasm* Oh I guess they'll have someone from the NRA in for a balancing view. *sarcasm off*
No wonder we're turning out such uber-liberals these days :banghead:

I predict it will be a hit with union school teachers.

They'll put it on the shelf right next to the "media guide" that the NEA published to help teachers explain the attacks on 9-11 to their students:
Lesson 1: How America brought the attacks on itself.
Lesson 2: How we can all do better to not offend Muslims.
Lesson 3: Islam is a religion of peace, unlike those repressive Catholics.
Lesson 4: ...........

I love that movie, I really do. It's the best propaganda since "Triumph of the Will" and the best agitprop since the '20's. I would actually teach it to my class if I had one, but not in the way they intend. I'd have my class break it down and analyze each claim and insinuation. What is Moore trying to make you conclude here? Why does he ask this question to this person, and not to another? Why did he edit the scenes in this way? You can learn a great deal about media manipulation by watching that movie closely. Whatever else Moore is, he knows how to manipulate his audience.
As it is, I plan on making up a drinking game where you take a swig every time Moore lies

I hate to admit this, but I'm waiting for this to hit the video stores. I'd like to see just how bad it is. I refuse to buy it, but I'll probably part with $3 to rent the thing.
The drinking game sounds fun, but I think I'll get sick watching it without the aid of strong drink.

Anyone ever see Reefer Madness? Makes me wonder if "Bowling" had some government funding. :D

Six For Sure-
Don't waste the $3. Just download a copy off the web. Michael Moore is a commie, so I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

I was checking it out on Amazon.com. And, yes, I too have a morbid fascination with it and will probably rent it.
Another reason it scares me is the comments section on Amazon. Seems to skew very young, like high school age, and very much leftist anti-gun.
I know there are exceptions, but it seems that a lot of today's generation has bought the anti propaganda. And yet I keep reading how young people have turned more conservative since 9/11.
Feh, I guess it depends on which way the media is spinning today.

This trash will make it into the schools, but when I tried to get the NRA Eddie Eagle movie into some pre-schools, they wouldn't because it had guns in it.
