3@46 gr accurate as hell

For my Howa 1500, 44.5gr of Varget w/Fed 210 and a C.O.L. of 2.83( works in the mag) Win. cases trimmed to 2.10 with a Nosler 150gr BT is a great load for me. I have had good results with 43.5gr of Varget w/Nos 165 BT and all else being equal. These loads were derived mostly using Nosler data.

IME Varget seems to like heavier bullets than 150s. It really works well with the 168 grain match type bullets with 43 grains +/- and military surplus brass.

Same experience here stubbicatt. My CZ550 Varmint in .308 seems to prefer 44.0-44.5 gr of Varget behind Sierra Match King 168 gr. HPBT's. I use an AOL of 2.840" due to magazine limitations.

Hey Guys as a matter of caution here...
Hodgdon Powder load data for Varget uses Win brass to develop loads.
Sierra in their book uses Federal brass to develop loads.

Federal brass is about the same as using LC brass, but as always work up the loads that are safe , reliable, and accurate in your gun.
