I was at Academy yesterday to look at a safe that was on sale but out of stock and came across something I've never seen before. It's called "Outers Tri-Lube Gun Wipes". They are packaged in an oval shaped plastic container and come out like wet-wipes after you open the internal sealed bag. They look like dirty wet-wipes and smell very much like something you would wipe a gun with. A pack of 50 was about four bucks. They don't look wet but when I wiped my pistols with them the pistols were left quite wet. I left the pistols alone for awhile and eventually they were not wet anymore but had nice fine coating of oil. Yeah it's another entry in the disposable society list but it seems like a handy thing to have in the range bag and an easy maintainence item for weekly carry weapon upkeep. Hopefully the smell is sufficient to prevent anyone but the excessly stupid from getting confused and using them for the other wet-wipes purposes. Just wondering if anyone has used this product and what you think of it?
