What Am I Missing in My Collection???

Here is what I have in order of purchase:
1. Ruger GP 100 6" ss
2. Glock 20
3. Ruger Super Redhawk .454 7 1/2"
4. Glock 30
5. Ruger Mark III Bull Barrell SS
6. CZ-52
7. Stoeger Cougar 9mm
So what am I missing? I am trying for versatility and historical signifigance yet I haven't so many historical guns because I am so worried about not being able to buy a damn high capacity in the next year or two.
I'm going to the show tomorrow afternoon and would really appreciate your insight asap.
I was thinking next I would get a .40 of some sort. I qualified with a Glock 23 rental and did the best in my entire CHL class. (that's not saying much I know) but I did really good considering I never layed hands on this gun until then. Maybe a CZ or HK but can't really see an advantage from a HK to a Glock considering the price.

At least one 1911 is a must for any serious collection....
You could also maybe add a CZ-75 or Browning HP to that list.

A smaller wheel gun. Maybe an SP101, a Colt Cobra or Diamondback. (Dare I say even a little S&W)
For sure you're missing a Colt or Springfield 1911.
What? No single action revolver? A Blackhawk or SuperBlackhawk!
What's the worry about capacity? I shoot Bullseye and we only have 5 rounds in the mag at one time. When I carry I have more. It's the practice that allows me to feel comfortable that if I needed to put a round 'where it needed to be', that I'd be able to do so. Spraying mass quantities doesn't make me comfortable. Quality shots make me comfortable. Not to knock all the LEO's out there, but round here, they don't get enough time on the range. Neither do the bad guys. That's why they all want hi-cap firearms.
Sorry, I don't mean to change the subject of your thread, but you've already got a couple that hold more than 6. Try a single action handgun. You just might like it.

I agree with Jack- your biggest gap seems to be in smaller handguns that might double as carry pieces.

You are missing a lot but I would start with a 1911 and a J frame revolver. Then I would find a couple of K frames, a snub nose and a 4" model.
There are too many to list but I'm sure everyone here will cover most of them... ;)

You have a great collection now. Perhaps a J frame, and without quesiton you NEED a 1911. A HP is needed as well.
Remember, A Colt is always the right answer!

A SIG.
But beware! Once you get one, they will soon multiply and drive all the other lowly pistols out of your collection and posses you! :D
Yup, a SIG, mmm hmmm, just one, snort... giggle...twich...

How about an M&P 40c and either an sp101 or 642 for a carry snub?

Historical signifigance and high capacity? I also note that you don't have any long guns (EDITED TO ADD: Oops, just saw your post in the Rifle forum :o.), so why not an AK-47? That would knock out the first two and provide for something really different :p . Not to mention that the mere sight of an AK makes gun grabbers pee pee in their pants . Surplus 7.62 x 39mm is pretty cheap too.
Either that or a shottie of some type.
If sticking to handguns, a snubnose revolver always makes a cool addition. An 1873 Single Action Army replica would be something different too.

There are several that I would recommend, some have already been mentioned.
1. S&W Model 10 (should be in every collection)
2. S&W Model 19 or 66
3. S&W Model 686
4. Colt 1911 (any series)
5. Colt Python

Go through COTW. Whatever you don't have something chambered in, you need.
This is the system I use for all firearms :D

You can always just stock up on high capacity magazines and buy the guns later. They won't be illegal (knock on wood).
Buy some of those 33-round Glock mags!!!
If you ask me, you need either a Colt Python or a Smith Mod. 29 to ogle at, a J-Frame to carry, and a 1911.

An N-Frame Smith. Your choice of caliber.
A K-Frame Smith in .38 spl. I'd recommend the model 15.

I would have to agree with some of the others...a 1911.
Go through COTW. Whatever you don't have something chambered in, you need.
There you go..! My mom (anti-gun) says "How many guns are you going to get, all you need is one!" I reply, "you're right, all i need is one; one of each caliber!":D

What you need for your collection is a Single Action Revolver!!!
Yoy've gopt a lot covered already, but I dodn't see one of those on your list. Historical significance, you bet. If you want straight history, get a Colt, or a clone. If you want a great gun, get a Ruger. The VAQUERO for traditional looks, or the Blackhawk for the most functional shooting machine.
Any caliber is ok, but bigger bores are more traditional. .45 Colt is a fine round, and IIRC you can shoot them in your .454 if you want a plinker round for it.
.357 (with a 9mm cylinder) is a good choice, or a .45 Colt with the .45 ACP cylinder is another. .41 & .44 Mag, or if you really want something oddball, .30 CARBINE. Or you could go small bore, and get a Single Six in .22LR/.22Mag, or even one in .32 H&R Mag. Ruger makes the best "modern" single actions on the planet in their price range (Freedom Arms are very very good, but more spendy). Coil mainsprings, transfer bars (so you can safely carry six loaded), ok triggers that can be tuned to very good, and Blackhawk models have adjustable sights. I have owned several Ruger SAs for over 20 years, and put a lot of rounds through them, and I am currently in the market for a couple more.
You'v got defensive autos covered, and the big DA monster mag, why not add something that is just fun to shoot and use, along with the fact that they do still have practical uses as well.
Or, as another alternative direction for your collection, go with the single shot. T/C Contender! I have nearly a dozen barrels for mine, from .22LR to .45-70. I even have a 9mm barrel! You don't know how well you shoot a handgun until you start shooting the single shot. It is a whole 'nother level.
Here are a couple of ideas, just for fun. Whatever you decide to go with, enjoy, but consider what you already have, do you want more of the same, or something new? I do agree with others that you ought to have a 1911, and a S&W M29, but for your next toy, why not think "outside the box"?
