We all need to write more letters on criminal subjects using guns.
Another good topic is the stupidity of actions by state legislatures and of course congress.
When the next mall/school/church shooting happens we all need to write pointing out what CEZs do for all use who shop etc there.

Getting anything printed in the U.K. that's pro-gun (any kind of guns) is an accomplishment. Hopefully they will end the policy of banning anything that's misused by a few, so they can punish the many.

Target gun laws
Roberta Atkinson is mistaken with regard to her opinions on airguns (Letters, December 24).
Responsible use of an airgun or a firearm is not a problem. Even mothers against gun crime understand this point. It's illegal firearms and yobs with air rifles that are the problem, not legal and responsible users.
Rather than producing another layer of red tape and law that doesn't solve the problem, enforce the laws we have and catch and punish wrongdoers.

Any ban will only remove law-abiding weapons. Yobs won't bother. The handgun ban which removed all legal pistols in this country hasn't stopped illegal handguns.
We now have the ridiculous situation where Olympic athletes are treated like criminals while criminal gunmen can walk openly around Manchester.
