I am looking to get a good metal shooter to compete USPSA in. I am thinking of going the para route due to the 1911 frame and after market parts. I also have been told that CZ can be a great .40 shooter with a good trigger job. What are your guyz history with the two guns?

I can't speak for the P16 but I've the P14 45 for 10 years and have't had the first problem with it. I can't think of any current manufactured .45 that I would trade my Para for!

Beaware that even though the Para is on a 1911 frame that all 1911 parts are not interchangeable with the Para.

I checked the "CZ" box, but I have in mind a very specific model.

The CZ 75 Tactical Sport in .40 (http://www.czusa.com/product_detail.php?id=69)

This gun was built from the ground up for USPSA competition and can be had for under a grand.

I have he CZ IPSC Standard in .40. It's the earller model of the Tactical Sport. I had the Para P16 Ltd. Very nice gun. One of my buddies was insistent that he needed that gun. I was looking at the CZ and decided that was a good way to go. Both are very nice.
