I just bought myself a Christmas present. Here is what I know about the gun so far.

S&W .38 Special CTG. 4" K frame four screw, model 15-1. SN K459750.

Any info would be appreciated.

Assuming the gun is all original, it is the revolver S&W called the .38 Combat Masterpiece (Model 15), a 4" ramp front sight version of the K-38. It is one of the finest carry revolvers ever made and was a favorite of many police officers and departments. The only drawback for concealed carry is the use of a target rear sight and a spur type hammer. But I would not alter anything on that gun; they are very highly sought by target shooters and folks who double action shooting.
