I love this web site and a buddy of mine and I will drop slips of paper into library books when we return them listing the web address.
I am threatened with being banned from a "Christian" forum because I linked to a-human-right web site as well as two pictures. . .
http://www.a-human-right.com/s_comeback.jpg
and
http://www.a-human-right.com/s_colors3.jpg
. . . which were deemed "offensive" and not "Family friendly".
They said that guns, self defense and violent topics were not proper subjects for a "Christian" web site.
In case you're interested here's the link (http://www.schuessel.org/)to the other forum.

Guess they never talk about those Crusades, huh? Or all that killing that goes on in that book they probably rarely actually read...

Good idea dropping the slips of paper into the library books. Might start doing that.

I don't find either of those offensive at all. They are both true. The problem is a lot of people would like to think of our world as being a nice little place where nobody hurts anybody. A lot of people preach idea that if you are compliant and do whatever the BG says then the BG wont hurt you. That simply isn't true in a LOT of cases.
If it isn't sugar coated and nice, it's not considered family friendly, a lot of people these days teach their kids NOT to defend themselves.

That web site looks like a link farm, heavy on the convicts...
No wonder an armed "victim" population might be seen as being "offensive."

Maybe they’re having a problem with “Ultra Pleasure.”
The second one about Israel and the Holocaust I find most effective.

Then you definitely don't want to show them these...

Damn. I'm definitely borrowing your Rape banner there; that's got some weight behind it.
But the Jewish one could be construed as offensive simply because lately mentioning the Jewish Faith in anything but total shoe-kissing reverence gets you branded an anti-Semite, so I imagine 'lumping them in' with the 'Gun-totin' Hicks' would be just the same. A damn shame though, I've known so rather interesting gun-owners that were coincidentally, Jewish.

Welcome to THR.
I especially like the fish in a barrel poster. I have sent a link to your Angry Art Teacher page to several teachers.

You apparently read both the "fly it or wear it" poster and read the news differently than I do. I do not see the poster as denigrating Jews or Israel and I do not see anyone demanding shoe-kissing reverence for things Jewish.

No, no; You misunderstand. I was making more of a social commentary on the media, with anytime someone mentions anything about Jewish people, someone finds some cock-eyed reason to take offense at it.
I personally find the poster quite relevant to it's source; but was simply stating how one of the aforementioned Hyper-PC zealots could twist it in their minds to be degrading to the Jewish People.

You know, I'll play devil's advocate here.
While I agree 2000% with whats posted in both those posters, that other forum might not be an appropriate place to discuss such things. (Appropriateness being soley judged by the admins of course)
If that Christian website is devoted soley to discussing the word of G-d then yeah, I could see why it'd muss a few hairs. It'd be like discussing the merits of Evolution here. Not necessarily right or wrong, but inappropriate. I think the best thing to do is let folks know if they want to learn about these things, there are great forums out there where they can learn (this being one of them.)

Huh, an interesting post. Some years back I was hunting along the Appalachian trail in Madison county, N.C, on the back side of Max Patch with my AMT 'Small Game' 22LR and had taken a fat rabbit and a grouse. I made my way to a shelter where I had set up my gear and cleaning my take and 2 fellers hiked in. Turns out they were Israelis (my step-dad is a converted Jew BTW) and we struck up an interesting talk. I had be-headed the grouse with the Yellow Jacket I shot it with and one of the fellows expressed interest in my shooting ability (don't claim to be the best shot in the land but my AMT does OK with the Simmons 3X9 glass I have on it). I was beginning to clean the grouse when they came to the trail shelter and the one feller commented on the effectiveness of the round and my shot. He wished to try out my rifle and I agreed although I didn't have a lot of cartridges I had brought just the one 10 round clip full and a MTM case-gard 'wallet' of 30 spares. Set up some plastic bottle caps at about 70 or so feet and let him try it off-hand. He got 'em all one shot each. Turned out he says he was an Israeli Army Reserve sniper. We had an interesting chat that evening and ate my take and drank all my home-made peach 'brandy' - corn whiskey (shine) that is aged with a peach in the jar. memorable camping trip for me.
