Dating a 3913

I recently put a S&W 3913 on layaway. I was wondering if anybody could help me in dating it? The serial number is VCE03XX. It has the blued trigger and hammer as well.

Just make sure you breath smells nice... oh wait!

I think you may be able to find some paperwork with the pistol that might have some dating on it. But that's only if the box is with it.... Otherwise I'd go look at the handbook of pistols (you can find them at most bookstores).

I went to the library on my 5903!

Looks to be 94-95 (an updated version of Supica and Nahas could probably nail it a little better). Production of that model was 91-99.
