Usually I carry in a OWB leather holster. But in the summer with shorts and T shirts making it a little more difficult to conceal, I'll carry a J frame in a pocket holster in my right front pocket.

It depends on the situation and the gun (and vice versa). Larger guns go in an IWB holster, pocket gun in a pocket holster.

I usually carry outside the waist but sometime I carry a pocket pistol.

Mostly a 1911 IWB. Around the house or if I'm just running out, but staying in the neighborhood I'll often carry a J-frame in my pocket. Around the house I may carry OWB instead if I don't plan on going anywhere that day.

Generally IWB but I do keep a J frame smith in a coat pocket from time to time.

Well.. heres one of those threads/polls that really doesn't need to be repeatedly posted at least twice a month..

Anyway, my answer is.. several of the methods above, entirely dependent on the situation. Most commonly strongside OWB.

It would vary. You also forgot to add on the waistband. OWB is the common abreviation.

I used to carry OWB, as I couldn't find an IWB holster that was comfortable. Now I carry IWB w/ a cheap uncle mike's holster, as I find it pretty comfortable and more concealable.

Generally IWB (Milt Sparks). OWB for a couple of large revolvers I shoot at the range. Sometimes the 642 goes in a pocket.

outside the waistband, high ride, leather holster. Assuming my fly is 12 o'clock, then depending on the situation I carry at either 2 o'clock or 4-5 o'clock.

Depends, usually in a pocket without a holster. Like last night I just dropped the PF-9 in my inside left suit jacket pocket. (where some carry their wallets)

Most often, OWB, a Milt Sparks PMK. Why do polls usually post choices that do not apply to me?

I have embraced pocket carry.
I have developed mild arthritis in my hips such that IWB carry is painful.
I also wish to not look like a hippie any more so IWB carry covered by a loose t-shirt has, for the most part, also been abandoned.
The phrase "small and light is a good thing" has taken on new meaning.

Lets just say I'm a man of substantial girth (some say my middle name is %#$&!:what:) and I can get away with a 1911 on my side.

OWB strong side with a spare mag and a Surefire weakside. When that won't work, I carry a J-Frame in an ankle holster. When even that won't work, the J-frame goes in a pocket.

I live in ILL-Annoy, no CCW here.

So when I carry, it's in a case as I go to the range.

Smart Carry, ankle or pocket. It depends on the gun and the wardrobe.

Renegade ankle rig for a S&W M49 90% of the time. The other 10% it's a Keltec P32 in an pocket holster. On occasion it's both

IWB is by far the easiest for good concealment for me. I *like* carrying OWB better; it's more comfortable. But concealed really means concealed down here, and so I do what I need to to keep it hidden.

I usually carry a snubby in my left leg ankle holster Smith and wesson, A kimber shorty in a High to the right El Paso saddle basket weave and a Kimber raptor in an sob in the small of back. On my right ankle I carry a gerber boot knife. I keep three throwing stars in my right rear pocket and a gerber six inch folder in my left rear pocket. On the weekend I will sometimes carry more.

In the Hummer i carry a 556 sig with an e o tech sight and 6 magazines. We can't keep a loaded rifle in car so the sig is not armed. My practice time to load is 2.6 seconds and that counts putting my wopper and milkshake down and opening the rear.

Generally an IWB Bianchi with my SP101 or Colt Cobra. When I'm riding I have a SWEET no-name horizontal that's got a really good spring hold that fits that SP up in my arm pit so that even a lose fitting T-shirt doesn't anounce that I'm packin. Other times a 1911 on my hip -OWB or one of my larger revolers in a vertical shoulder rig from a local leather-smith. I also use a Bianchi style horizontal shoulder rig for 1911's with a double mag pouch on the opposite side.

So, it depends on the situation and what I'm packin, but most of the time with a smaller revolver I use an IWB holster.

This poll should have had multiple options.

95% of the time I carry IWB with a CompTac Minotaur (great IWB holster, two clips, excellent retention)
5% of the time, usually around the house or if I'm in a rush I carry in a $18 Uncle Mike's IWB single clip holster or in a $20 Fobus OWB kydex non-adjustable holster.

The Uncle Mike's conceals well but is a piece of crap that doesn't retain at all and moves all over the place. It's only good if you're wearing sweatpants or no belt and need something light and aren't doing anything physical that will cause the gun to fall out. YMMV.

The Fobus is an excellent but bulky holster. It retains at least as well as the Minotaur and rides high enough to conceal under a longer blazer/coat or a real jacket. Use only in winter or for open carry.

For years i carried an inside the wasteband holster Milt Sparks summer special. It was good and made an easy draw. I worked narcotics and an outside the pants shirt concealed it well. I changed to an upside down shoulder holster and wore that for years. A t shirt and outside the pants shirt hid that well.
I firmly believe now at my age and having been a personal protection officer in Texas, that high to the right is the only way. You need to carry the way you were trained. Believe me if you practice and are trained at high to the right carry, you will perform when the chips are down. You really will. It bulges and yes some waiter or store clerk might see the bulge but thats a chance i will take. These pocket holsters scare me to death. Go high to the right but shoot straight .

You have under-the-arm there, which would something like a KL Null, but I don't see shoulder holster anywhere. Also you should include the types of shoulder holsters (vert., horizontal, miami, jackass, etc.). And make multiple choices possible. I use a mix of methods depending.

Around home, 50/50 IWB/OWB. Otherwise, mostly IWB.

I also carry in a belt pouch when horseback riding with other people.

Most often, I seem to reach for the 3-inch mod 36 with a barami hip-grip.

I suppose that makes it IWB, no leather.
