My G26 is my summer gun since she has no PRINTING WHATSOEVER in a Galco Scout IWB holster and I can sweat on her all day :) She spends as much time with me as my 1911's do in the fall through early spring.

I carry my G26 everywhere I go. It looks just like all the other baby Glocks out there. Its one of my favorite guns in my collection.

Great little handgun, but can any of you actually hit anything with it? I sure can't. I shoot my old S&W 36 snubbie better than the Glock. Am I just odd?

jackal, you aren't the only one. at 25 yards i shoot about 8" groups, with occasional flyers that open things up even larger

Yep, count me in, my 26 has dang near retired my S&W model 60. I've had excellent shootability at long ranges - even at 100yds - lobing the 147s into a silouette. Mine uses a NY1 trigger spring with a (-) connector and Meprolite night sights. I've always been impressed with it's accuracy for such a small pistol. It's just about perfect for a summer sweat-on-it-and-not-have-to-worry-about-it concealed carry gun. Even though I'm a big 1911 fan, I just can't deny Glocks their place. :)

I love my G26, it will never get sold, as my girlfriend (now wife) bought it for me. It has been 100% reliable, and shoots much better than I do. It disappears under a T shirt in a comp-tac; Probably the most efficient 10rd 9mm packaging in existence IMHO. A Kahr might be thinner and a J-frame might weigh less (i've owned and carried both), but the G26 is pretty close to the perfect combination of size, firepower and shootability.

That being said, it is on the thick side for tucked IWB in business casual for me (I'm thin framed, so it sticks out too much for my comfort).

I'm in, G33 owner here. Got mine when they came out in the .357sig.

Still recall the looks I got taking them to the ranges I visit. I was stopped a few times when people asked me what I was shooting. Big noise and large flame.

I'm also a 1911 fan and tend to alternate between both.

indeed, picked my G26 of a fellow forum member and have grown darn fond of the little thing, its sitting on the desk right next to me. lotta fun to shoot with the 33 rounders as well.

Am I just odd?

Evidently...really the G26 has a reputation for being much more accurate than it really should be. In fact, I'm a fairly lousy shot, that does regular shooting sessions with two buddies who are much better than I. The first time I took the G26 out with these guys I proceeded to empty the first magazine into a nice group on the target. When I looked over, one of these friends was standing there with a dumbfounded look on his face. His only words were, "Let me see that thing". They now both own Glocks.

By the way, sign me up for the G26 fan club. I like mine so much, that I went out and bought a second which I put away as a backup. The only difference between the two, is that my original has Glock night sights, and the newer one seems to have a little different of a finish.

i miss the darn thing... was my first gun, sold it to a friend when I moved, and when i met up with him and asked if I could buy it back... he said NO... well, my bad...

I'm in! Torn between the 26 and 27. Actually went 27 for about 2 months, but changed my mind. Luckily I could do a near even money swap for a new 26. Much better gun for ME (I know there are .40cal fans that will take umbrage - no offense intended!). No pics yet...

to all Glock 26 owners, let us start our own club and share all our good, bad, and everything in between tales about our baby "G"!

"bad"... I see no bad in the G26...
Just pulling your chain, there is always room for improvement. However, I truly love my G26. Count me in for the G26 club.

The Good: size, weight, capacity, accuracy, durability, reliability, ergonomics, safety, fit, finish, and ease of use are top notch.

The Bad: stock sights have to be replaced. I also replaced the recoil spring guide rod with a stainless steel guide rod and kept a factory spring on there. Guide rod replacement is not a must, just a good option.

Besides that, it truly is "perfection".

Funny thing happend the other day. If you would have asked me 10-15 years ago if I would ever have a 9mm I would have said no way. If you would have asked me if I would ever own a Glock I would have said hell no.

Well here we are 2008 and I am now the proud owner of a g26. And to top it off it is my third different 9mm now in my colllection.

I had wanted a back up ccw and did a lot of testing and research. I am lucky to have a local range that rents guns on the cheap. In the end I found the g26 fit all my needs...and I am real accurate with it...I mean REAL accurate. For such a small gun it is accurate, small, reliable, and did I mention accurate.

Now all I need to do is find a nice holster for IWB carry. I hear galco has some offerings. Any feedback on this issue would be great.

I'm in. I carry the G27 mostly and my wife the G26. Both have high caps and night sites. No matter what gun I buy I seem to continually go back to the Glock. And some of the newer ones include some pretty nice ones like an HK P30, Rohrbaugh and Sig Revolution.

I like my G26.. except I keep shooting low and left. I guess I'm trigger jerking? but I can't seem to fix it even though I dry fire and practice with live ammo. Thinking about getting G34 for the better trigger and the longer barrel for better performance....

theken206
January 4, 2008, 03:35 AM
what type of sights are you using?? "stock"??

micky692002
January 4, 2008, 09:57 AM
Aedrick, the same thing happened to me in my 17C and the 26, to solve the problem all I did was move the back sight to the right. Now the sight is flush with the frame on the right side and now every time I shoot I hit the center with both guns.

Aedrick
January 4, 2008, 04:45 PM
Yes, the shooting low and left thing occured with my G26 with stock sights. thing is I don't want to adjust the sight because if I felt that I'm not actually improving my shooting skill, but rather allowing my gun to fix my problem for me. In the end, that might be just as good as improving my shooting skill, but at the moment I'm not sure... Also, how is everyone carrying the G26 concealed comfortably? I bought like 4 holsters and none of them are very concealing. all are OWB holsters, I have galco cop slide, yaqui belt slide, galco paddle and a fobus paddle. All of them stick out quite a bit and none are very comfortable.. but then I'm small figured so... I considered IWB but G26 is too fat to do that comfortably. At the moment I've been carrying my Walther p22 in my coat pocket. I figure that's better than nothing... any suggestions?

If you want a nice holster for a reasonable price I suggest the Milt Sparks SSII:
http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/productdetail.aspx?p=9922&st=&s=

I have one for my G23 until my Milt Sparks VMII is done and it has worked very well. The VMII is king in my book but the SSII is nice as well and it is available immediately instead of 5 months from now :(

SmartCarry: check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkEfZUwzLAs

I can carry G26 + mag in any but the tightest pants. Invisible, and comfortable. Presentation isn't as slow as you'd think, but does take practice.

Admittedly, I often pocket carry my j-frame instead, but when I carry the G26, it's usually in the SmartCarry (I have a passable Galco IWB, along with a Fobus paddle, and a Nemesis pocket holster, but that only works in certain pants). I have heard excellent things about the C-Tac, but don't have one.

Good luck.

There is no bad about my G26. Went to the range on new year's eve and let it rip. I love it. First Glock I ever bought. It started my Glock addition. I now only own Glocks.

Great little handgun, but can any of you actually hit anything with it? I sure can't. I shoot my old S&W 36 snubbie better than the Glock. Am I just odd?

I plink soda cans at 25 yards with my Glock 26.

Its definitely NOT my favorite 9mm Glock (the G19 is), but for its size I find it incredibly accurate.

Whenever possible (work in a federal building) I carry one of two guns:

http://i11.tinypic.com/8boi0t1.jpg

Glock 26 9mm with Cominolli thumb safety
Smith M&P340 .357

Factory CT grips on order for the 340. GAP floorplates on the way for the G26. May put CT, Lasermax, or night sights on G26 depending on how I like the laser on the 340. Once that's done, I hope my CCW arsenal is complete (for awhile, at least).

For any curious about the safety (for those that fear the scorn, you can PM me about it too, that's cool):

G27 issued by my employer. Would prefer the G26 as I shoot 9mm better, but its a great gun nonetheless. I will say that the last time I shot it I hit almost as well as I do with a G19.

Here's my G26. I've been thinking about trading it for a G19, as I carry my Kahr P9 most of the time. But I like the flexibility of the G26 grip. It's as big or as small as you want it to be.

Look here: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=57796

I use www.tinypic.com, but there are others...

I read the library item I linked to up there, and man, it is DETAILED. In short, upload a pic to tinypic.com, make sure you reduce the size as part of the upload to no more than 640x480. After upload it will give you a URL for "message boards" - it wills start with and end with . Copy that to your post where you want your pic.

That's it!

Well don't have a 26 but I have a 27 pretty much same gun just a .40. Its what I carry for ccw. Damn accurate I've shot the 26 and find it to be just as good i just like the .40 better than the 9. Actually thinking about getting a Lone wolf 9mm conversion barrel for it so I will have a 26 and a 27 in one gun.
