Guys have any of you loaded the 125gr "TNT" bullets in the .308 win?
I wanted to try some for coyotes here in Arkansas you can use .30 cal and under for predators. If you have used them what powders did you use and how did the bullets perform it says on the box not to exceed 3100 fps. so just courious what experience you guys might have had

There was an article in either the Handloader or Rifle some years ago about "Light Loads for Light Rifles". I gave my Father-In-Law a .308 Remington 600 with a bunch of ammo loaded with 125's and 4759. Velocities were a bit lower than you'd probably want, but you might want to look at what Hornady has at their website:

At 3000FPS it's lethality is unsurpassed in that cartridge for two or four legged varmint shooting.

I have not used these for any kind of game that was alive and kicking. I have had very good accuracy shooting these in a model 700 Varmint rifle in 308 Win. Remington cases, Federal 210 Large rifle primers, 45.0 gr of IMR 4895 trickled into the case so that it all fits. Load to magazine length and either no crimp or a very slight taper crimp. 1/2 to 1 MOA @ 100 yards. It is my favorite load for shooting steel and paper to 200 yards give or take. My local IPSC club allows "sporting rifle" as it's own division.. Imagine that, a bolt gun with a box magazine (that you load from an open bolt). It's even a little bit competitive since I need only fire 1 shot to the 2 shots required by the semi-auto guys. Velocity in the 3000 fps range. I'd imagine they'd do a number on mr Wile E coyote.. :)
