I am in needed of a good appendix carry holster for the 2 o'clock positon. I am considering the Comp Tac 2 o'clock holster. Has anyone had any experience with this holster? I've also considered a kydex tuckable by FIST (http://fist-inc.com/holsters/k1/K4.htm). What other options do I have? Thanks!

Kevin

I bought a Comp-Tac 2 o'clock appendix carry holster for my Kahr MK9. Last week I wore it most of the day for about 5 days on a car trip. I like it very much and find it quite comfortable with a small, thin gun like the Kahr. The advantages are:

1. The draw from appendix carry is very fast - you can lift your cover garment with your left hand while drawing with your right hand.

2. The holster with gun slips on and off the belt without unbuckling the belt, much like a paddle holster.

3. Concealment is excellent with a good cover garment - I used a sweater vest or a sweatshirt.

4. It is especially good while seated, as in a car - you don't have the gun wedged between you and the seat behind you, poking you.

I think it works best with guns having a short, two finger (dangling pinky) sort of grip and short barrel. The Kahr is good, and I think a snubby with boot grips or Walther PPK would work well. Here is a picture:
