I am in search of information on Air Rifle repairs. I have an old M140 HAWTHORN 22 cal. pellet gun from Montgomery Ward Co. which I am trying to restore and need to know of any repair sources. All help greatly appreceiated. Thanks, Virgil w5ceo@charter.net

Do you have any pictures? Montgomery Ward was a reseller who didn't make anything themselves, so the odds are your air rifle is simply a "re-branded" air rifle from another manufacturer, like Sheridan. If you can figure out what the "parent" gun is, you'll be able to look for parts and schematics.

Hawthorn was an offbrand Crosman marketed by Montgomery Ward as near as I can tell.
Check your gun against images of classic crosman guns of the same general type.
