I have in my collection at least 3 different versions of factory mags for this gun.
1 parkerized, large Z weld on back of mag, metal follower, spring holds base plate.
1 parkerized, small Z weld on back of mag, metal follower, spring holds base plate.
1 is stainless, can't see the weld, plastic follower, spring does not hold follower, marked P220-1.
All are stamped SIG Sauer and are (were) 7 round mags. I understand now SIG is selling 8 round mags with new guns. Does anyone know when the changes took place between the different styles? Also any opinions on which if any is better?
