Howdy All,

I am pretty well settled on a NIB 642 and I have found one locally with the CT grips for 560 plus Tax. Fair deal? I appreciate your input...

I just bought a 642 with CT grips a few weeks ago. I paid just a little over $500 OTD but I have a friend that owns a gun shop and he cuts me pretty good deals.

I picked one up at Sportsman's Warehouse a couple of weeks ago for 360.00. It doesn't have the CT grips but I didn't want them. I might add some later but I thought it would be better to learn to shoot it accurately without them first. I'm lazy and would rely on them WAY too much. It would be my luck that just when I needed them they would fail. Terrific little revolver though. Best purchase I have made in a long time.

A couple years ago (2-3), Ace Firearms in Washington Pa. was having a S&W promotion and offering 642s for $299! I've been waiting for them to repeat it but it hasn't happened.:cuss:

Well, seems I should look around a little more. Would be nice to find a good used one on the cheap...:D
