Blackhawk gear, best prices?

Who has the best priceson Blackhawk gear?

I am looking specifically at the following:

Blackhawk webgear (Olive Drab) 35WG00OD
Hellstorm advanced kneepads (black) 8025
Blackhawk cheek pad (for rifle, in black) 90CP00BK
universal BDU Belt (black) 41UB01BK

Anyone know a good place, and have opinions on the gear?

Also does anyone know if a standard cheap CamelBak will fit in the webgear in place of the hydrastorm? (I already have three Camelbaks that are new)

Thanks for any inputs!

Hello Glockster35, I am an authorized BHI dealer and live right down the road from them. I have personally met the owner (nice guy) and they stand behind their product 100%. I offer 20% off all their gear and will match any other dealers prices! Here are my prices for the items you are interested in:

Blackhawk webgear (Olive Drab) 35WG00OD $40.00
Hellstorm advanced kneepads (black) 8025 $17.60
Blackhawk cheek pad (for rifle, in black) 90CP00BK $16.00
universal BDU Belt (black) 41UB01BK $$6.40

Your camelbak should fit without any problems. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions...

Thanks,

Grant

G and R,

Do you happen to have a website?

Those prices are very low, and I will likely be ordering from you.

Yes I do! It is http://gandrtactical.tripod.com It doesn't have any prices on it and there is a lot of gear that I sell that isn't on there. So if you need something please ask!

Thanks,

Grant

I would suggest buying Eagle stuff.

It's made in America. Blackhawk usually isn't.

BHI gear is made in two places, SC and Vietnam. Vietnam has most favored nation status with our Govt. My sales rep at BHI told me that that the quality of the gear made in the Vietnam plant is far better than the gear made at the SC factory. Aimpoints are made in Sweden, but I have never heard anyone say "Go buy a Leupold CQ/T because it is made in the U.S.!"

I don't want to get into a flame with you.

However, as a member of the military I would rather not purchase equipment made in communist countries. I think Glockster is also in the military and might have been rather unhappy buying items from communists.

There are many items that are not made in the US so I don't have a choice. If there is a choice though, I think people should be made aware of it.

Also, I don't think the Swedes have ever tortured, executed, or held US citizens as prisoners.

I understand your position and have brought this very same subject up with BHI. Their position is that our own Govt wants them to do business in this country so how can it be wrong. They also like the quality that comes out of their factory over there. I agree with BlachHawk's thinking on this subject even though I am no fan of Vietnam. Sometimes we have to move past bad decisions in our history and start fresh.

Ah, another Waco thread, eh? Oh, servicemen not citizens. I think the Swedes would have if we had invaded them to stem the Commie tide but then again, the Golden Triangle isn't in their back yard! We trade with the Germans, Japs & Brits and they haven't always been darlings to our servicemen. :uhoh:

Well it just slays me. Look at Cuba. Boy, we sure taught those Commies a lesson. Does anyone think that Castro & cronies are suffering? How about the average Joe on the island? Yeah, we showed them. Bah!

Guys,

Personally it doesn't matter to me where the items are made. I feel that if our Government allows trade within that country, then it's good enough for me.

I don't buy American cars exclusively either...I buy the best vehicle for the price, and that usually means it's made in Japan. Am I a bad American? I think not, and really care not what anyone else thinks.

Now keep this thread on topic!

FWIW, I've always got my BHI gear from LPS Tactical (10% off list, free UPS shipping). Sometimes, LPS has sales that reduce BH prices even more. Website is http://www.lpstactical.com -- customer service is second to none and Wayne Lagger is a very knowledgeable guy.

I don't know his military/LE background but he is always training with the high-speed low drag types. This means you can ask Wayne for an opinion on gear and he can provide you with an experienced opinion as to what works and what does not work.

If you want my opinion on Eagle vs BHI you can PM me. For the record I own both Eagle and BHI gear.

I offer 20% off all BHI gear all the time and charge actual shipping costs (no handling fees). I also live right down the road from them so I can get items faster than any other BHI dealer. :D

Glockster, I don't think you'll have any problems finding a good deal on Blackhawk...a lot of people carry it and BHI seems to be pretty good with keeping up with production, AFAIK.

OTOH I don't have much nylon so wouldn't know, and SOE is an hour's drive from me so I just go there if I need anything in a hurry.

Between my Japanese car and my German and Italian guns, does that make me a fascist? :D

Grant,

Still haven't counted you out yet. Do you have any thigh holsters that are capable of carrying a Glock 35, 1911 (GM), and Beretta 92 FS?

I would prefer something that can also house the light system (streamlight M3) for the Glock, while still holding the other weapons without a light. If not possible, just something that can be adjusted to hold all three will work.

G&R Tactical seems to have some very good prices on BlackHawk products. However, if he for some reason can't get what you need, check out my friend's gun shop at http://www.shootersshop.com/blackhawk.html . He's one of the largest stocking BlackHawk dealers in the country.

I don't know if they can match G&R's prices, but they do stock a lot of BHI inventory.
