Rifle scope repair

A friend has an old pre-war Winchester model 70 in 257 Roberts with a Lyman Alaskan scope in Griffin & Howe side mounts that I am considering purchasing. The scope is a little foggy when looking through it. Is there anyone that repairs these old scopes? Other than that, the rifle is in excellent condition.
