was sizing some 30cal M1 Carbine brass the other day,have probably reloaded 13 or 14 thousand rounds of the stuff and have come across some berdan primed brass. headstamp is @ 12:00 4-62 should be date,3:00 is B over D, 6:00 is 7.62 is caliber,and 9:00 is V over E. any one know where this stuff came from. thanks jwr

Could be either Hall's Telegraph Co., Burghfield, UK, or Cartoucherie de Valence, Valence, France.
Without seeing them, it's hard to know for sure.
You'll also run across some marked LC, and I believe the year is 62, but not sure. It will be Berdan and was made in China.
