I got this Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight several years ago and it's been nothing but a dream gun for me. Picked it up for $150 which I think was a fair price. It's a 20 gauge with a 28" barrel. The very low weight of the gun makes it most excellent for carrying it around the shrubs and fields in search of quail, pheasant, rabbit, and squirrel. I love hunting with a buddy of mine who carries a Rem. 870 12 gauge. He's panting in an hour from lugging that big ole cannon around haha.
It’s one of the finest made shotguns I’ve had my hands on. Smooth as butter movement and balanced perfectly. It always gets some cool attention when hunting amidst nothing but fields full of Rem’s and Mossy’s. Folks seem fascinated by the bottom shell ejection.
The serial number is 715XXX and the gun was manufactured in 1958. (I learned that just recently from forum member Black Talon, thanks man.)
