I received 500 of these bullets for Christmas, .428 200 grain. Saturday I went to a Cowboy match. I fired 80 rounds through my rifle and about 40 through one revolver. (30 grains FFFg goex) Both cleaned up with 3 patches.
No leading at all. It's nice to try a product and it lives up to it's claim. I didn't have Deparado bullets for my .45, cleanup was much harder and I had a lead streak about 3 inches long in the barrel. I will have Desparado bullets in .45 soon, you can bet on that.

Never have tried the Desparado bullets , I`d have to buy them off the net , no where local to me sells them ...I can only Metzer and Oregon Trail ..and haven`t been over happy with eaither ....When I shoot black Powder I load with home cast 255 gr soft lead in 45 Colt...now they shoot good , but too much trouble for target shooting ...I`d rather buy a box of 5oo somewhere , for my target shooting . Did you have to spg lube the Desparado bullets , or did they come lubed ?

I have used them for several years now and use others only when Desperado does not make what I want. They are good, especially with Black Powder and their softness seems to be an asset rather than a hindrance. However, I shoot mostly modest loads, anyway.

They're soft lead (1/20 tin to lead) flat based bullets, lubed with a soft lube that is compatible with smokeless or BP. They are not for high velocity loads, but rather BP or BP equivalent smokeless loads.
