Just give the robber what they want and nothing will happen. Yeah, right! Good thing our wonderful Governor Taft blocked CCW. Otherwise, someone might have helped the victim.

Two Shot in Cash-And-Carry Heist
The proprietor of a west side cash and carry is battling life-threatening injuries after an armed robbery of the store Thursday. Sxasxi Jariwala, 58, was with his son inside Roes Quik Food Shop just before 2 p.m. when a woman and several men entered the store. Jariwala reportedly complied with their demands for cash, but the father and son ended up getting shot anyway. The suspects fled in a car, which the sheriff's office now says has been recovered. Jariwala and son were transported to Mount Carmel West, where the father remains in critical condition. The son was treated and released. Authorities are now searching for the suspects.

When someone offers you violence...

Politely decline the offer... by a pre-emptive double tap to the torso.

It's why my 1911 is cocked and locked when I'm at work. Nothing like 9 rounds of Hydra-Shoks. :D

This is of course after a few isolated incidents in this area involving holdups in dry cleaners (that's what my parents own). In one of them the clerk gave the man all the money and said "just don't shoot me" so what happened? The guy shot him. I'll take my chances at being quicker on the draw. If I'm going down, it's not without a fight.

We had a pastor shot in the head at night earlier this week. What was he doing? Changing a flat tire on his car. :fire:

We have CCL's in OK, so law-abiding citizens have the option to carry. It just goes to show you can be minding your own business anytime, anyplace and something can happen. Everyone should be allowed the option of self-defense.

When the level of force you are confronted with is a firearm, the only sure way to match that force is with a firearm of your own.

I figure attempted robbers really want two warning .357 magnum shots in the chest, followed by two more warning .357 magnum shots to the head.

Standing Wold,

I agree with your concept of warning shots. It works for me!:D
