I am in the process of gathering parts to build an AR-15.
This is my first build.
I am curious if anyone might know the exact title, FSN stock number or whatever, of the Armorers manual used by USMC armorers?

I dunno about USMC but the Air Force and Army manuals are here (http://www.ar15.com/content/index.html#manuals).
The armorers use many of the manuals, most beginning with the following letters:
TM
MIL-C
MIL-R

The one I used is :
TM 05538C-23&P/2
U.S. Marine Corps Technical Manual Oct 1984
Rifle, 5.56-MM M16A2 W/E NSN 1005-01-128-9936

You may be able to find your info on AR15.com (http://AR15.com).
If you scroll down to the bottom of the main page, there's Firearms Manual and Firearms Guide sections. Click on the "More Guides" link on the Firearms Guide section and it has guides for all the parts, and assembly that you may be looking for.
There's a TON of information on that site for those great little black rifles.:D

Thank you all for the replies.
I just began kicking around on AR15.com a bit, mostly as a result of deciding to do this build. Picking up the lower today, if the Post Man ain't slacking!!!

I learned on-line at arfcom (ar15.com) and with a copy of the USMC Armorer's Manual. The online manual is the same critter.
