My favorite rifle round that I reload is the .270 and I've found the bulk PowerPoints available through Cabela's to produce moa accuracy in my rifle.
That's music to my ears because the PowerPoints are cheap, but I recently found out why... I suppose.
I don't guess they are bonded, or bonded well, because a bullet that killed this year's elk lost well over half of it's weight.
The 130gr. PowerPoint went through both shoulders and stopped just under the offside hide. Sure... it did a nice job of a one shot kill, but I sort of wanted it to retain a little more weight. The bullet weighed 59.6gr. once I cleaned it up.

What should I expect, or should I say, what do you expect of a well constructed 130gr. .270 bullet.
If/when you dig out that expanded bullet, what would you prefer it's weight to be?
