Drop Firing?

I read over on the Kel-Tec forum that the P-11 and P-40 pistols CAN fire if dropped.

Are there other pistols that have this same problem?

Yes, several others.

Two popular models that I am aware of:

A Colt Single Action Army can fire if the owner does not know any better, and he leaves a loaded cartridge under the hammer.

A pre-Series 80, 1911-type can fire if it is dropped hard on the muzzle, with a cartridge chambered, and a weak firing pin spring.

I would say this is more the rule than the exception - with older - pre firing-pin block designs.

I'd say most anything without a Fireing pin block, and more so ones with the hammer resting on the FP...

BTW, I'm the one who did the drop testing on the P-11, and my 1911:
