Huge thread on this scope over on ARFCOM: http://ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=18&t=326527&page=1

Got mine for $190 shipped, but had to ship it back to Midway because of smudges on the lens (fungal growth?). If I get one w/o that problem, I'll be one very satisfied customer.

The scope feels solid and is exceptionally clear. A great scope for the money, really.

That first I have ever heard that about that problem with a scope. I had a Leupold Mark 4 PR 4X14X40 LR Mil-Dot scope that had a small hair trapped between the lenses and the tube inside the scope. That is a $700 scope. Nice scope but stuff happens even with top dollar brands. Millett has a lifetime replacement Guarantee on their optics and very good customer service.

Actually, if you read the linked thread, the problem is not uncommon with this particular scope. Dunno why, but Millet has made right in every instance. The inconvenience is a small price to pay, I think.
