I will most likely go. I bet you know what I'm looking for...Mod 65, 3" I think. Maybe 4". Maybe both....
Some AR accessories - tac sling, ergo grips maybe.
Maybe some .22 & .223...Some Black Hills .223 or .308 would be nice.
Maybe a Case whittling knife.
I don't expect a Century Yugo underfolder to join my household but you never know...
Lots of maybes - sometimes I buy nothing at all, sometimes I spend too much.

You better get there early, as I am looking for a model 65 also, it should be a good show, better parking than GRB one.

Phantom, have you ever used the Jim March method of selecting a good revolver? I'm planning on doing that but have only practiced once on one of my own revolvers.
I envision several THR guys standing around Bachman's tables, reading from a printout, passing revolvers around and looking down the barrels....

slugless,
Where can I find that revolver check system?

Hmm, I'd like to go and look for a P3AT for a decent savings. Maybe, it's a long ride up there. What I saved on the gun would be burned in gas and then some.

Looks like I'll be there 'round noontime on Sunday.
Phantom,
Go to the Revolver forum (THR > Tools & Technologies > Handguns : Revolvers) and there's a sticky at the top of the forum. The thread is a bunch of pages and someone sometime should compile the original checkout list with the comments, clarifications, suggestions and improvements...

Mcgunner,
I dont know about where your at, but you can literally save hundreds on guns at a Houston gun show vs. Houston gun stores.
Slugless, I plan on hitting it up on saturday morning, I will post and let you know what I found and wheres its at.

The guy that runs Bachman is a butthole. Don't give him your money. Besides, in most cases he is not the cheapest.
Just my .02,

Ok, good to know Leon. I'll look around.
Phantom, over the years I've bought a few guns from Doc Avery's. Everyone else has been a single purchase. I can't recall why I keep buying from them but I suspect price + decent service.

Show Report
Bachman and AJC seemed to have the best prices on New pistols, I picked up a GP100 6 inch barrel for $463, but they had lots of Glocks and XDs for sub $500, easily beating Houston gun shops by hundreds in some cases. I was impressed with Bachman, AJC, Gunzones, Schrams amount of new pistols and some tactical rifles selection and prices. Also I couldn't find Docs, everyone told me to check them out, but there were not to be found.
This was my first Houston show and I must admit I dont ever plan on going to any Houston shops after going to todays show. I guess thats why not one Houston shop even had a table at the show, I guess they knew that they wouldnt have any business.
I think Big Dog ammo was there and they seemed pretty busy, with good show prices.
I found it worth going to .

I checked their website and apparently they are kind of not in business anymore, atleast they are not selling guns or parts. Maybe their are only wholesaling.
