Last segment is going to be on Bowling for Columbine tonight.

Here's you chance to watch, and then nail them on the bogus "gun at the bank" scene.

In fact, that's the scene they used as a teaser for the segment.

I saw part of it. :barf: I had to turn it off, because it was making me sick. I am curious what you mean by bogus "gun at the bank" scene. I have not hear that of that before.

I was visiting a neighbor when M. Moore came on tonight: the volume was off, as we were conversing. The sight of this lying, pathetic TROLL was so irritating that I grabbed the remote and turned the TV off.:banghead:

I imagined what a child "spawned" from Moore and Janet Reno would look like:  :barf: :p "Calling Dr. Kevorkian..."

The bogus gun scene: Moore opened a savings account and got a free rifle. Usually customers have to go through a wait and pick the rifle up from a gun store, but Moore persuaded them to allow him to walk out with a rifle for the purposes of his so called documentary.

And the whole time, that nitwit Bob Simon just sits there nodding, without challenging anything that pie-wagon said.

I'm not doing this...not another Michael Moore thread. :barf: Good night, geegee

So disgusting it makes you want to scream!

I get a little revenge in my novel "ENEMIES FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC" where I have the geriatric news anchor Pete Broker make a transparant ??? out of himself repeatedly. On CBA news all rifle cartridges are "deadly cop killer bullets" and .50 caliber rifles can "destroy a tank two miles away."

I also get some nice slams in on the morbidly obese anti-gun film maker "Norbert Nottingham." (He is assassinated in a NY eatery, crashing face first into a huge bowl of spaghetti, smashing the table to the floor like Moby Dick crushing a whaleboat.)

LOL. All right, all right. I will _buy_ the book. OK? :D

"Not more hearings?" "Nothing that complicated."

By now we should all know that a fair and balanced presentation on guns isn’t going to come out of CBS (Communist Broadcasting System) so what’s one too do? Write a letter to them? Don’t bother. They’ll enjoy you’re rage and frustration before they throw it into the circular file.

Instead make a list of the sponsors while you watch the show. Then write your letters or direct your e-mail messages to them. Don’t explode! Remember these companies buy a certain time spot for their advertisement and they often don’t know about the exact content of the program. So be nice, and state facts. Expose the program as biased and unbalanced. But then explain that you won’t buy any of their products or services so long as they remain a sponsor.

Now these advertisements cost a lot of bucks, and the purpose is to sell you something, not make you mad. So if the companies get a flock of correspondence saying that the writer is mad and won’t buy their “whatever” you can be sure the Television Network will hear about it.

Advertising money is what makes the media world go ‘round. Without it they’d soon be dead in the water. The last thing they want is upset sponsors.

Don’t get mad, get even ….

Travis,
if your penchant for hyperbole is as well used in your novel as it is in that post then i might have to read it too!
