Explanation for high prices on gunbroker (Kidbillions included): you don't have to pay anything to list your guns, so some folks start at a crazy price and then seal a real deal offline with an interested party.

One gun I bought was listed on gunbroker for several weeks and didn't sell ... the seller seemed to give up (stoped relisting it). I emailed him and offered him a little less then he was asking on GB (which works out even better because he doesn't have to pay the gunbroker commission) and I made the sale. He was an individual, but I bet some businesses do the same thing.

Some guys hope for a sheeple to stumble across the thing and fall for all of the crap too and buy the gun...at the listed price. Only to take it to a smith/gun nut for a BIG DOSE OF REALITY.......and the sheeple fall for it!

I was at a local large gunshow a couple of years ago.....walked past this elderly gentlemans table a couple of times..he had a couple of nicer/expensive guns. I noticed this pile of brown/pitted metal....it was what was left of a Sig. The mag had rusted itself inside of the gun....literally :what: :scrutiny: He had it listed for 600$ :what: :what:
I asked him if it was a misprint? The gun needed major work and was probably worth 250-300$ ON A GREAT, GRAND DAY...at best.
He got very upset with me and said "Son, you dont know what you have in your hands...that is the finest weapon in the world...THATS A SIG!"

I politely said...."I know what it is! and just walked off...in major disbelief.
