Hello,

I have recently moved to South Western CT and am trying to find ranges which run Highpower competitions.

Any recommendations are welcome.

Thanks in advance...

Hi brubam. I am also from CT (central part). I am new to shooting and don't know too much...what do you mean by "highpower"? I am also trying to find out about competitions.

Well I am from Fairfield County the part that sticks out into New York. There is a range right over the trumbull/Monroe line that has regular competitions and classes. The place is called Arms and Munitions. Does Southwestern CT mean Milford or Bridgeport specific towns would help?

Hi Nomad. From your description, you and I might be neighbors.

Seems like I remember a Ct teams at the National Matches, but this issue of the USA Shooting Sports doesn't list any matches in Ct. That could mean they aren't taking the trouble to get the matches sanctioned- which is common, or they aren't shooting in the snow. I'm sure they are there. The Civilian Marksmanship Program list that kind of stuff and recognizes the main state organization. You might try the CMP website or if nothing seems to be listed CALL the CMP folks on the phone and ask. They are very helpful.

Bell City Rifle Club in Southington, CT has some. It's located off of I-84 about 10 miles east of Waterbury. :)
