Unexpected buy

Was out doing my Saturday errands today including a trip to the gun store as I was out of cleaning supplies. As usual I wandered around and looked at the handguns. Seriously fondled a 4" S&W 617 as I really wanr a .22 DA revolver and they had a price as good as Bud's. It's just real hard to justify $600 for a plinker though.

The fella at the counter said they had a great deal on Taurus 94s so I went over a took a look. They had a NIB 4" blue 94 for $249 - hard to resist at that price so I went ahead and bought it. Yeah, my first Taurus is still being repaired but this one had a smooth action, good clearances, and tight lockup. (I looked at the 5 NIBs they had and picked the best one). Everything I read says you either get a good gun or a lemon, hope I made the right choice. I stocked up on Federal bulk .22s last week so I think I'll bring it to the range tomorrow with a brick of ammo and break it in.

Also, changed the sights on my recently purchased Sig P6 so I need to get it sighted in as well. What better chores for a Sunday...

I've now shot 2 full boxes (1100 rounds) through this one and it is growing on me. The action is getting smoother and the little beast is plenty accurate for what I bought it for. My Dan Wesson .22 will be here mid-week with 6 & 8 inch barrels and it will be my target gun to be sure. This little Taurus ain't bad though...

That's a very good price you paid, congrats on the new purchase. I got one of the lemon 94s, but I do hope yours is a good one. Sounds like so far it is.

Though I may have had problems with mine, it was quite accurate.

Enjoy that 94!

My 94 has been nothing but problems. Constant misfires. It's going to the trading pile soon.

My 94 was the same, very accurate, but many misfires. My 941 is reliable, but has poor accuracy. I'd get another one, but it would have to be dirt cheap and/or be testfired before purchase.
