I'm using 4gr Unique in mixed brass under 125gr soft lead cast bullets. I like this as a plinking/practice load (and because I can use Unique for my 40S&W and 45ACP cast loads as well) but wouldn't mind trying other powders.

Anyone else have a light 9mm load suitable for cast bullets?

I sure do like 4.2 grains of W231 with 124 gr home cast LRN. I'm not sure if it is a light load, but it sure does shoot good in Beretta 92F. Probably middle of the road. but does work well.

I have only tried two loads, 6.2 and 6.5 gr of AA#7, 124gr Wheel Weight cast LRN, 1.095 COAL. Both were so light, the empties were gently laying themselves on my right arm. Glad I had a jacket on. The 6.5 grouped OK. I think a BIT more oomph is neccesary.
I have some more testers with AA#2 put together, see if I can get out in a couple of days.

I use Titegroup on 9mm.....4.0min to 4.4max for 124gr bullets if my memory is correct.

I tried 4.3 grains of AA#5 and a 124 grain hard cast bullet in my T-series BHP. Shoots great but won't work the slide, even when I use a 10 lb recoil spring. Another favorite is 3.3 grains of Bullseye. That works well in my Pre-B CZ-75.

I must be way over the top, I use 6gr Unique under 125gr LRN in 9MM, 1.155 OAL. I use 8gr Blue dot with the same bullet, have for years.

Alliant recommends these loads as almost maximum, but they seem very easy shooting in my M&P, HI-Power and 92fs.

Jon B, I tried 4.0 grains of Titegroup and it felt fine in pistols but would not reliably function a blowback KelTec Sub2000 carbine. 4.4 gr titegroup works fine.

I've had good results using 3.8 - 3.9 of Bulleye with both 124 grain FMJ and LaserCast in my 5906.

Yes, I do. It's my favorite 9mm powder. But I just figured out using Quickload that my 9mm loads are too hot, so I'm not going to post the data until I rework them.
