According to my TM (Army Ammunition Data Sheets) the powder the military uses for M882 9MM is listed as HPC 26. I kinda thought that this may be Hodgens but the powder is not listed. Does anyone have any idea what the commercial equivalent is.

The listed data in the TM is

Powder - HPC 26
Weight - 6 gr
Projectile - 112 gr

Average PSI is 31, 175
Average Vel is 1263

I am active duty national guard and shoot on the states marksmanship team. Ammunition is somewhat of a problem to get for any practice I want to do outside of the ones we schedule. I am trying to duplicate the load data of our issued rounds as closely as I can.

Commercial (and mil) ammunition is loaded with non-canister powders.
The typical reloading powders are referred to as 'canister' and held to tighter tolerances for burning rate, pressure, etc.
You can sometimes purchase non-canister powder from short lots are a batch that was intended to be canister grade but did not meet some parameter.

You do not need to use the same powder, just load to the same muzzle velocity using a canister grade in a similar burn rate.

Power Pistol from Alliant is the canister grade powder of the powder developed for the military 9mm.
