I know it's either a "D'oh!" or "Duh!" situation, so help me out.

It's not you, it's the system, but I can't tell you what's wrong with it. I just tried 5 times to get a 26 KB picture to upload. It always looked like it went through, but no joy.

Yeah, I just noticed it's a general problem. I guess I'll leave the thread up so other folks will be notified that it's a general problem.

On a hunch, I went back and tried uploading my picture again this morning when the server load was very low. It went through without a snag and actually showed up in the post! It was the exact same picture and same procedure.

Give it a try again. Be sure to delete your previous pix or the new (old) ones may not be accepted.

There are some server maintenance issues.

I don't have a full understanding of them, and it won't be a "moderator" task to fix, it will be a "system admin" job.

That will require various things -- including time and probably a scheduled outage -- before it can be fully remedied.

For the time being . . . grin and bear it.
