I have to admit, if I had money flowing out the wazoo, I'd love to get a couple of those MP5 SMGs, and a few boxes of the man marker ammo. Paintball pales in comparison, I'm sure. :D
P.S. I swear I just had the same idea of an (admittedly less complex) air round concept a couple weeks before I got this in the mail, and was fiddling around with different design ideas. Ah well. :)

A single "9mm RR, 9mm Pellet" weighs 1.7 lb, so I bet its a box of 50 or 100, when the other is a case of at least 2500 for $2975.99 (50*50)

Not a bad system for training LEOs. Gotta have a big department or academy sized budget though and because of the price, this is not the stuph for the average guy to play with. No one around here with the bucks of Bill Gates, is there?

Isn't this stuff similar to "sim-unitions"? The USMC uses simunitions for all kinds of training. I'd LOVE to be able to participate in some of that. A friend of mine is an instructor for small arms and tactics for the Marines and he says that it's a blast, although it hurts a lot worse than paintball. He actually has a scar on his wrist from apoint blank shot while attepmting to clear a room in one of the training sessions. Has anyone else here tried anything similar?

I've used Airmunitions several times before. The way it works is you take the cartridges and put them into a press which fills them with air (thus airmunition). The good thing about the system is you fit either a solid plastic projectile or manmarker to the end of the cartridge and blaze away. The cartridges are guaranteed to be able to be fired at least 500 times before they stop working. I've seen some fired thousands of times that still work well.
It is an alternative to simunitions and worked well all the times that I tried it.
It is also available for 12 gauge and 37 and 40mm launchers.
