I need a good source to go to to try to determine if my early exposed hammer pump Marlin is safe to shoot. CASS has condemn them for firing pin mishaps and yet I'm told that that problem is with the early models and later models the problem has been fixed. It is a model 42 ser.#502. should I hang it on the wall or sell it to some dum buyer.
