I have a chance to pick up an early 2nd edition S&W Safety Hammerless 32 (sn 958XX).

The gun itself is in 60% condition with no major scarring, perfect grips and appears to be fully functioning. Nothing spectacular just a nice vintage 32.

What intrigued me the most is that it also includes what appears to be an original "change purse" style holster made from red leather with a fully funtioning brass mouth/clasp. It's in really nice condition, still soft with probably 80% of the red finish.

I know many times the original S&W accessories can almost exceed the price of the gun it went to. Anyone have any thoughts on this pouch that they could offer up? Is it a desireable accessory?

Thanks.

Those are seldom seen, and yes they are valuable in the condition you describe.

For a value, I suggest you contact Jim Supica at www.armchairgunshow.com
