Kinda seems silly to put sights on it. A bead front would be enough.

Wild: I assume this is a joke? Or a for fun project?
I mean if it is in 444 or 45-70 I would think with real loads it would tend to plant the barrel in ones forehead.

Can you please use it on the bears? I'm sick of these whiny threads about bears.
Kill them all!

Looks to me like a good prairie dog gun. There is somewhat of a shortage of bears in these parts.;)

Nope its actually in 457 magnum. Its actually easier to shoot than a light 454 Casull, and no worse than the BFR in 4570. I shot it and its no problem, the S&W 329 jumps as much. You can see my main man Steve firing it at the link above.
Gonna do one in 50 Alaskan next. Also have them coming in 44 magnum ( theres a class 3 dealer in WV you ordered a bunch of SBR 44s for hog hunting)..

What about adding a US Model 1917 Bayonet to it for a little extra security and distance before you get chewed on?
:D
Actually, I like it as-is.

I have no conceivable earthly use for such a contraption.
Having said that, I think this thing pegs the coolomter at somewhere around 8.7:cool:

It is legal in some states. It is a Class III (like full auto).
Wild, I still think the revolver would be more practical just IMHO.
You must have way to much time on your hands! :D
Since you have an excess of time I'll give you a project to try.
I have a buddy that wants to stick with 44 mag/spec for everything. He wants a J frame sized 44 special around 12-14 oz for 24/7 CCW (uses N frame for open carry, hiking, & hunting) think you could do that? He says he would settle for a 4 shot cylnder. Think you could make something like that? If so how many dollars?
I think he should just get a Scandium 357 mag.

Wild West is at it again
I'm getting sick of these guys. Their service is terrible, at least to us lowly locals, and their firearms seem a bit overpriced. More than a bit, actually. If you want a REAL bear gun, go to Great Northern or Gun Runners and buy the ugliest, most beat up bolt action magnum you can find. Locals will respect you a lot more if you have an ugly gun. :D Extra points are awarded for having duck tape around the stock to keep it together.

you can also tear off a couple strips of that duct tape to use as a sling! the sticky side can hold your extra shells.

Yup, and it's good for re-attaching arms and fingers until you can get to town.

Idiots!
If you wrap yourself in enough duct tape, you don't need to carry a gun!

I wonder how long he could hike on a trail in this state before someone concluded he was an alien and started opening fire. In The Butte I'd give him five minutes, maybe less. Then the locals that bagged him would strap him to the hood of the Chevy and demand to get air time on Art Bell.
That photo cracks me up. "No ma'am, I'm no alien!" (hearty baratone laugh here) "I'm a Canadian, and I'm here to help! ...why are you still pointing that rifle at me?"

I bet your upset because:
They wouldnt reblue your Jennings.
They laughed at the 500 Linebaugh you made out of a 357 Ruger and a drill press.
They dont sell SKSs with detachable magazines.
They had the gall to send your Remington 710 that wasnt grouping with your handloads back to Ilion instead of fixing it there.
They had the temerity to suggest that perhaps the Savage 110 with the sewer pipe bore that you bought at a gun show for $200 wasnt worth fixing...
When they took your duct tape off the scope the ocular fell off.
Ah yes, the gun business in Alaska!

IIRC, they tested that suit against 12 gauge saboted slugs. THAT'S gotta be fun.

I heard rumors of a Great Northern Guns Bush Pilot coming soon!
What I'd be interested in is a selfloading Whippet in 12ga.
WWG, do you think that the Mossberg auto is an appropriate platform to cut down?
While we're plugging Alaskan gun dealers I should mention Richies Guns & Ammo the FN LEO Distributer with the extremely cool P-90s and FiveSevens.
