1) Are these shotguns any good?

2) I was looking at a camo finished 20 guage pump at Wal-Mart. It had
written in its description that it was gas operated. Is there such a
thing as a gas operated pump shotgun?

I have a Buddy who picked a youth mod 20ga auto C/D for his son who is 12 to learn with. It seems to shoot well and I think it will be a good starter gun for him. The only thing I thought should be changed is the barrel length. It comes with a 20" barrel it needs to be about 24". The boy is doing pretty good with it though.
