Savage Model 16 Recommendations

My FFL has a Savage Model 16 (think it's a 16FSS) with a nice scope on his wall. For those not familiar it's a bolt action, 5-round internal clip, SS barrel with a black synthetic stock. It's chambered in .223. Does anyone have any experience with these rifles? Thanks.
