Although I had acquired this Colt OMM .22 fairly recently, I wanted to post some improved pictures that I just took of it today:

Very nice. From the old and better days at Colt.

Nice gun! I always get a kick out seeing how large that cylinder is in relation to the caliber. Thanks for posting.

Another good one!! You are persistant with acquiring the Colt 22 revolvers. Great gun. I have one, but would like to have a couple more.

Thanks! And, I have become fond of all of the nice classic, Colt .22 revolvers. It's very easy to get hooked on these. Hard to find here in the PRK, though.:cuss::banghead:

What a gorgeous gun! I had one a while back (not nearly as pretty), but found that it was just too large for my hands. Replaced it with a K frame S&W model 17.

That is very probably the most consistently accurate model of .22 revolver ever made.

Due to Colt's higher grade barrels and the famous Colt "Bank Vault Lockup", these older Colt actions were famed for better accuracy.

Nice!

+1 to Dr. D. You won't find a better-shooting .22 revolver.

I hope you paid an obscene amount of money for that set-up.

Hey man, nice gun.

But it looks like Colt forgot to checker your grips all the way to the top;)

Really, I bleed S&W blue, but I do have a few Colts around so I can be considered a good American.

Bullet Bob:

Wow! Although my OMM is super nice, it certainly can't compare with your earlier model's NIB condition-including the complete package too! And yes, Colt made a terrible mistake in not checkering my gun's grips all the way up to the top, like yours!:what::cuss:

That picture was from the dealer I bought the gun from - mine's not NIB anymore!

Bullet Bob:

Well, NIB or not, I'll bet that your OMM .22 is still virtually mint and shoots great!:)

Well that's what my dad thought. I sure won in early 60's NJ NRA matches with mine (like bullet Bob's) that my dad gave me. Did the same with his >38 version. Still have both, well used and maintained. I sold his .32S&WLong "cheat" OM Match for $3000 couple years ago.I couldn't resist it!
