For Smith shooters the Smith & Wesson Forum website has a wealth of info.
Colt shooters have the Colt forum website. It's not as active but the members are extremely well versed in the ins and outs of Colt.
1911 Forum covers all aspects of the different makers of 1911's.
There are many many more on the web and I'm sure others will post them.

www.packing.org is a good source for information on the different states and their CCW rules and regulations, including what is involved in getting a CCW in each state.

Not a waste of time per say, but the gunbuilder over at sviguns.com is great way to waste time.

As my post count might suggest, I spend most of my time here :D But I've been known to visit hkpro.com. I like pretty busy forums and this one has really active members.
