It might be easier/cheaper to have the barrel bored out to IC or skeet. Or you could have a couple inches cut off and have it threaded for choke tubes. Length is not a problem for skeet. Typical lengths range up to 30" at my club and the long barrels do just fine.
Huh? How did this end up at the top??

Hello,
I bought a shotgun from my local gun shop last fall. A year later i finally figured out what the thing is.
I ended up with a sears 200, which is a winchester 1200 (supposedly a few parts are different). Anyway, it came with a 27" barrel, the dealer said it had a modified choke. I want a shorter barrel with more spread, as I use the thing for skeet. Whoever owned it before must have used it for deer (they make you use slugs in this county).
I'd like to find a 20' or shorter barrel for the thing, preferably with screw in chokes. I checked around, and I'm amazed what people want for one. If anybody knows where to find one for around $70 I'd appreciate the advice. Anybody interested in a trade?
Thanks

Hmm. Yea maybe I will just do that. I only paid $150 for it, I'm not paying that for a barrel

Jeo, real men shoot anything they darn well want to. Last I heard, Tom Held was up to 23/25 at trap with one.
As for barrels, try Numrich. However, it may be cheaper to have your present barrel set up for tubes.

I imagine that'd be pretty hard, but it seems about as cool as being the world's deadliest shot with a blowgun. Actually, I take that back....
