Gary has a thread on another board . He has had some health issues among other things that have delayed production . He assures all that he is getting back up to speed and making headway on getting caught up , In fact he resigned as one of the mods of the holster section over there to devote more time to the shop and less to online concerns . Give him a call at the shop for a timetable on when you should expect your holster .

at 19 months shouldn't he be calling me he has all my info. why defending him have you read the posts he had 600 plus orders and was still taking more. Gary is everybodys friend but eric is called out and lashed , eric makes a better holster than gary anyway

I may be incorrect, but I have the impression that Gary is not doing business directly with the customer, but instead is selling his holsters through
http://www.coalcreekarmory.com/holsters_brommeland.html.

I do not know if they have them in stock, but they are advertised. It would be interesting to know how they are obtaining them if customers have waited over 19 months.
Gary's work is second to none in my opinion, and I am very sorry that he has suffered so many problems including hurricanes, moving, and illness. I do hope he can pull out of this and regain his good reputation and production of superb products.

Regards,
Jerry

I have been waiting almost 1 year now for my holster that has been paid for. If you go to their website it says they won't answer emails that ask when will the holster be finished.

Extreme caution must be used when ordering from any of the holster makers that charge you upfront.

I waited 19 months and finally filed with the bbb he said because of that he was sending me a refund and do not contact him again. He has shipped several orders to retail location where they have30+ of them on the shelf thay have received many shipments from him . he has admitted to having over 160+ orders in backlog. i would file with the bbb and find another holster maker .

If you look around, there are some 'minor' and 'new' holster makers who show considerable talent. I have an order from Southern Holsters that will be at my house in another day or two and I'm pretty excited about that.

The whole "wait 8 months to over a year" really doesn't have a great appeal. I remember back when four months was a long wait, and now that's the 'express isle'.

One of these days I'm gonna compile a list of very talented holster makers who aren't as burdened with success and back-orders as the others ... I really love some of the carving samples on their website.

A lot of folks have been very happy with Sam Andrews' products, their quality and their prices. www.andrewsleather.com

I ordered mine in June '07, just got it today. I must say that it is finely crafted. I look forward to trying it.

Long waits are not that uncommon with holster manufacturers. I've heard of 3 to 6 month waits for the VM2 holsters.

Gary has suffered through some pretty nasty health issues. I have no reason to doubt that. Try canceling your order and getting a refund before filing a complaint with the BBB. Just drop him an email, with "order cancelation requested" somewhere in the subject line. That's what I did and I got a response in a few hours. He informed me that it had been finished that day, and so I "canceled" my cancelation request.

I agree. I use a Milt Sparks IWB for concealed carry. Sparks holsters are superb and they don't charge until they're ready to ship the holster.

I placed an order awhile back. Spoke directly to Gary. Said it would take about 3 weeks.

I got it in 12 months.

Would call back every 2 months or so to check on my order. The female that always answered the phone was polite but would always tell me one of two things: 1) the wait time is normal, please continue waiting, or 2) he's making it this week...or next week, and it will ship out really soon (which never was actually the case).

I did not know Mr. Brommeland was having health issues. I wish him a speedy recovery.

I am sure he is a great guy who is just going through some rough personal times, but I will not order from his business again.

Did not feel communication was adequate. If they had just told me to wait 12 months instead of saying it'll ship next week every time, I would have been fine.
