I'm in my 10-day waiting period for a Savage Arms 10FP-LE2. I'm not willing to shell out for a Leupold VX-II or VariX-III for this particular rifle, and am looking into either the Bushnell Elite 3200 or the Weaver Grand Slam.

I'm not sure if one is any better than the other between these two scopes. I've heard glowing reviews about both scopes, but I don't have any personal experience with either scope brands and was wondering if there are any issues I should take note of with either scope.

Note: Application is primarily for target shooting between 100-200 yards.

either one will do the trick.........I have the Weaver Grand Slam 4.5x14x and it is really clear, but, the Elite is also a good scope for the money........

I got the Bushnell Elite 5X15X40 for my .308 10FP. I love it. About the only thing I would have liked would have been mil dots or something to help judge hold over for longer shots without making scope adjustments. But I did not want them enough to justify the cost difference. (Just punching paper with mine to)

I have the Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40 on my 10/22. Great scope for the money. Very bright and crisp.

I have the Weaver Grand Slam 4.5-14x40 on my Savage FP10 in .223. REALLY GREAT SCOPE! Extremely bright and crisp. The setup made me and both my buddies look like we knew what we were doing. They're both now want to buy their own.

Bottom line: the Bushnell's good (and cheaper), but get the darn Weaver and never look back.

I just ordered a Weaver Grand Slam yesterday from riflescopes.com. I got the 3.5-10x40 in Matte Black. It shipped an I'll have it on Monday. I pick up the rifle on Thursday (the earliest), so I can bring it with me and let them laser boresight it for me.
