Hi guys im new to this forum, and kinda new to revolvers, i really enjoy surfing this thread. About a week ago i decided that i was due for a handgun (a larger caliber) I have a single six, so i knew i was going to go with a wheel gun over an auto, don't know why, maybe its because the way they look and feel. So i saw a S&W 38sp revolver in my local gun shop $399.99, i asked to see it and picked it up and started to mess with it, I had read the sticky about choosing a revolver and tried to do the tests as best as a rookie could do, and i liked the gun and decided to purchase it. Its a model 15-3 serial#1K8### 4" barrel. Could anyone give me some info on the year it was made? also if anyone has a similar pistol and if there's anything that i should look out for as far as things breaking and needing replacement. I should also mention that i purchased a uberti cattleman .45LC 5" barrel $429.99 serail#J44###with an awesome black holster loaded with ammo, and if anyone can give me some info on that as well. Sorry i don't have pics of the cattleman pistol. I'll appreciate all the info i could get
