Well I had my Lee scale for 2 days and dropped it on the garage floor breaking the arm. Lee said these things are nearly indestructable phenolic polymer. rofl. So much for bragging on how easy I am on tools.

Will they replace it?

They are only 20$ new. Should I just buy a new one?

Can I super glue it and still be accurate? It broke where the .1 end is. I still have the lock pin and the slider.

When you are dealing with potentially blowing yourself up, I would not recommend Super-Gluing your reloading scales back together!

I imagine Lee will send you another one free if you call them and whine a little.

I agree with rcmodel, get Lee to send you another one. If I were you, I'd just sell off the Lee scale (mind you, I like Lee products, but that scale is aggravating to use) and get myself a Hornady or other brand of scale.

Regards,

Dave

Come on over and I'll give you my Lee scale. That's about all it is worth to me and I could use the space.

I am a proud user and supporter of Lee products.:D
No idea how many rounds I loaded and shot with great success.:D
Except the cheap scale. (and powder measure):(

I wouldn't superglue it, wrong piece of equipment to play fix it with.

That said, if you can get a replacement, go for it. They're pretty liberal with their customers from my experience.

Not sure why the dislike of the scale here. I verify zero and throw the check weights on before dropping powder (just like any other scale I've used) each session and it works quickly and accurately.

My Lee scale works perfectly. Don't know why so many people bash them. May not be as fancy as RCBS, but it works.

Lee stuff is good, the scales are crap, get a decent one , RCBS, or Hornady or Dillon etc

Lee scales aren't crap. As a matter of fact they are VERY accurate. The problem is, it's a pain in the butt to use. I have one and use it but I'm thinking about buying a Digital scale soon and reassign the Lee to backup duty.

I broke the little locking pin on the grain slider thingie on mine by pulling on it too hard. Sent it back to Lee and got a new scale back, free (minus the cost of shipping the old one back). Yeah, the scale is flimsy, but as accurate as any other I've used. You just have to treat it right. ;)

Used the Lee scale, til I got a digital. Digital is the way to go, much faster and more accurate. With the price of digital scales going down so much (you can find them for less than $20 bucks, and yes they are accurate) I don't see why Lee doesn't add one to their line.

The Lee scale is accurate, but can be slow and annoying. I would recommend either switching to a Pact Digital (~$100) or an RCBS scale. I recently switched to the RCBS 502 after my Pact scale died. I find it is as fast as the PACT and much faster than the Lee.
