I recently purchased a used Mossberg 500 Cruiser from a local gun shop but the gun didn't come with a manuel. Can anyone tell me the easiet way to dissemble the shotgun for cleaning ? Thanks for the help.

BOlingball, go to the Mossberg official web site and bring up the owners manual for the model 5oo, read or print out. I just picked up a maverick model 88 from a friend and printed out the owner's manual for mine several days ago. Sorry no link to the Mossberg site but any search engine will bring it up. Hope this helps

retract bolt half way to the rear.

unscrew takedown screw.


remove barrel by pulling it straight out of the reciever.


push pin out.

rotate trigger guard down at the rear, pull out of reciever.

remove locking block.

push bolt out of the front of the reciever.

slide action bar assembly off the magazine tube frontways.
