Anybody handled one of these? What are your impressions?

Everybody seems to have this knife on backorder.

Is the blade chisel ground?

Corkum doesn't chisel grind his knives, therefore CRKT should not have chisel ground the First Strike.

I handled the prototypes and preproduction test pieces and thought they were impressive. Corkum had several in Afganastan and reports on performance were positive.

The blade shape is a combination of the ancient chokuto straight sword and the classic mohora-zukuri double edge tanto. The grind is what Steve calls a convex zero edge, or appleseed cross section, resulting in an edge that is much stronger than taper or hollow grinds. The massive 0.19” blade thickness continues through the tapered full tang, resulting in incredible strength from tip to butt
