Hello all...
I was thinking of getting a Ruger 10-22 soon, which I've heard is one of the most customizable rifles in existence. Since I love to tinker with things, I'd much appreciate it if anyone and everyone can send links to all the places such accesories and modifications are available (since all I've seen are barrel mods).

Thanks in advance:D

Hello, I have done a lot of upgrading to both my 10/22 and 10/22 magnum. This is a great forum to learn and ask questions: www.rimfirecentral.com. Here are some of my favorite links:

www.clarkcustomguns.com
www.ct-precision.com
www.ontargetguns.com
www.volquartsen.com

There two schools of thought on the 10/22. The first is to buy drop in parts (trigger group, barrel, bolt, stock, etc) and put it togeither your self. The second is to send it to a competent 10/22 gun smith like ct-precision and let them use your existing components (factory parts). I am a fan of a little of both. I like to go with a .920 bull barrel by either Clerke or Volquartsen, Volquartsen trigger assembly and have the bolt head spaced. The biggest thing is to have fun and design the rifle around what you like!

Definately search the files at rimfirecentral, lots & lots of good info there.
I reciently finished up my sons 10/22, went the ecnonmy route and bought a Hogue Overmould stock / Adams & Bennett bull barrel combo from MidwayUSA www.midwayusa.com , about $120
Added a Volquartsen target hammer, trigger pull dropped from factory 7-8 lbs to a nice 2 1/2 lbs. The gun will shoot sub 1/2" groups with Federal bulk ammo.
I'm now working on my own rifle using a A&B compensated barrel / Fajen thumbhole sporter stock. Hope to have the wood finished in a couple of days and get it to the range to see how it does.

go here: www.rimfirecentral.com. There is no better source of info. on the 10/22 available than the guys on this site. Be forewarned: once you go there, there is not turning back from the 10/22 madness!

weaponcraft bolt buffer

I also made an overtravel stop and removed my pretravel. they tell you how on Rimfirecentral.
